Plotvera storage notice
Plotvera. Notice version 0.2, effective 23 Oct 2026.
Plotvera stores information in your browser so that it works: your projects, settings and recent files. This storage is strictly necessary for the service you asked for, so under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations it needs information, not consent. There is no cookie banner because there are no optional cookies.
Plotvera sets no cookies of its own, sets no advertising cookies and loads no analytics or tracking scripts. The production bundle loads no remote fonts or third-party scripts; the site's content security policy only allows the app's own origin.
What is stored
Storage names use the product name (plotvera, and the older graphite) so that work saved by earlier versions keeps opening.
| Name | Type | What it holds | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
graphite-project-v1 and graphite-project-v1:<document> | localStorage | Autosave of each open project | Until you clear it |
plotvera-session-v1:<window>, plotvera-windows-v1, plotvera-window-id-v1, plotvera-open-documents | localStorage, sessionStorage | Which projects and windows were open, so a reload restores them | Until you clear it (window ids end with the browser session) |
plotvera-projects, plotvera-project-library, plotvera-library-current-v1 | IndexedDB, localStorage | The project library kept in this browser | Until you delete a project or clear site data |
plotvera-recent-files, plotvera.recentLabels.v1, plotvera-autosave-to-file-v1 | IndexedDB, localStorage | Recent files list and file handles you granted (Chrome and Edge) | Until you clear it |
plotvera-my-colours-v1, plotvera-recent-colours-v1, plotvera-scheme-extras-v1, plotvera-role-colours | localStorage | Your saved colours and colour schemes | Until you clear it |
plotvera-ribbon-collapsed, plotvera-project-panel, plotvera-graph-panel-sections, plotvera-ai-open, plotvera-whats-new-seen, plotvera-front-page-seen-v1, plotvera-home-welcome-dismissed-v1, plotvera:hints-dismissed, plotvera:table-info-dismissed | localStorage | Interface preferences and dismissed tips | Until you clear it |
plotvera-errors-v1 | localStorage | A short local error log (messages and where they happened, never table cells), sent nowhere unless you copy it into a report | Until you clear it |
plotvera-<provider>-key (for example plotvera-anthropic-key; OpenRouter uses graphite-openrouter-key) | sessionStorage | Your own AI provider key, if you add one | Until the tab or window session ends |
plotvera-connector-on-v1, plotvera-connector-key-v1, plotvera-connector-tab-id-v1, plotvera-connector-active-tab-v1 | localStorage, sessionStorage | Whether the Claude and ChatGPT connector is switched on, and the secret in your personal connector link | Until you disconnect, make a new link or clear site data |
plotvera-powerpoint-handoff | localStorage | A project passed from the PowerPoint add-in to the app | Until you clear it |
plotvera-shell-<build>-<revision> | Cache Storage | The app's own files, so it opens offline | Replaced by each new release |
What is not encrypted
Browser storage is not encrypted by Plotvera. Anyone with access to your browser profile, and any browser extension with access to this site, can read it. Your own AI key is kept only for the tab's session, but a script or extension running in the same page can still read it; do not add a key on a shared computer.
How to clear it
Use your browser's "clear site data" for https://plotvera.app. This deletes every project held only in this browser. Save to a file (.plotvera) first if you want to keep anything.
